Formerly known as Azucar Minerals, the company was created in 2018 with the completion of the Plan of Arrangement of its predecessor company, Almadex Minerals Limited. The company’s original mandate was to thoroughly explore the copper-gold porphyry El Cobre project. As this project is now the subject of litigation, the Company has renamed, rebranded and refocussed on porphyry copper gold prospects in the western USA with the new name of Mustang Minerals Ltd.
